The Jaffa Kid returns to Gated with another release of high calibre electronics which given the labels quality control he is perfectly suited to. Ten tracks which are appropriately pressed across two records which therefore promises to be both high calibre and properly presented audibly. What we are offered is a real album experience. The Jaffa Kid has built himself an enviable reputation for being both prolific and proper with his output. Now I must admit it is a name I am familiar with but his music not so much so putting it into context I am really looking forward to checking this release out. Which to me is probably the best way to describe this 12-track adventure into deep electronics. So, to the music itself and we have ‘’Madison Chord’ which is just gorgeous. Heavy on the percussion and acid this is a great way to open the release and it sets the scene for what to expect. ‘Omaha’ is more acid chug with a real finesse, music to immerse yourself in a lose yourself.
